Teens are unlocked after the Mysterious Island Quest, teenagers can only be unlocked by the Coming of Age quest, and Sim Town High can be unlocked by the Higher Education quest. They are the same as adults, but they can have different relationships and actions.
Teens are the same height as adult Sims, and have braces on their teeth.

Hobbies
Teenagers can participate in any adult hobby, but they can no longer participate in the pre-teen hobbies. So if you want to keep your Black Belt pre-teen, consider aging someone else.

School
Teenagers cannot go to Elementary School. They must be enrolled in Sim Town High, which can be unlocked with the Higher Education Quest. They can still study and gain allowance increasing in much the same way as preteens.
