Prize houses

Prize houses are residences in the Sims FreePlay, similar to the current Houses, but are only won if the player completes a quest or hobby in the time limit or from a Live Event if the player collects resources to unlock and purchase all the previous prizes before claiming the template.

Types

Like the normal pre-built houses, prize houses can be built on a standard or premium lot. If the player builds a prize house on a Premium lot then they will receive extra items in the large space exclusive to that lot (such as furniture from previous updates the player might have missed) whereas building a prize house on a standard lot it removes some items that can only be obtained on a premium lot.

Trivia

• The first house is free to build, after that they cost Simoleons (prices vary depending on how many other businesses and houses the player has already built).
• The houses contain a mix of old items already in the game and newer items from recent updates:
  • The Latin Villa has Latin-themed furniture; the only old item it has is the bunny ears TV.
  • The Beachside Escape has old furniture, some of it is higher level if the player hasn't passed level 9.
  • The Haunted House has items costing LPs.
  • The Toddler Playground just has a playground at the back; players have to build their own house on the space at the front.
  • The Party House has furniture from the Spa and French Romance events; the old items it contains are the Modern Bar, pool slide and volleyball net.
  • Wedding Venue template has a mix of furniture from French Romance, Spa and Custom Closets events; the old items it has are the white toilets, sinks and poolside chairs.
  • Designer Backyard has furniture from the Backyard Beautification event; the old items it has are items from Country Homestead.
  • Kids Party House has old items such as the Modern Computer, Tanned U Couch, Corkscrew Steps and French Black Chairs.
